Amitabh Bachchan extends wishes for Mohanlal’s maiden directorial venture ‘Barroz’

Mohanlal’s maiden directorial venture ‘Barroz – Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure’ went on floors today. And Amitabh Bachchan has sent best wishes for his friend Mohanlal! Big B took to the microblogging site Twitter to send wishes for Mohanlal. “Wishing the great Mohanlal the very best for his 1st directorial venture 'BARROZ'... success , prosperity and greater glory…” the Bollywood superstar tweeted.

Mohanlal was surprised to hear from Big B himself and expressed gratitude for the same. “Sir, it is with great gratitude that I accept your passionate message.Your thoughtfulness always touches my heart and your blessings I will always cherish. I thank you and reiterate my great admiration and respect for you. Love & Prayers,” Mohanlal replied.

Amitabh Bachchan also extended wishes for Mohanlal in Malayalam on the microblogging site. “മഹാനായ മോഹൻലാലിനെ തന്റെ ആദ്യ സംവിധായകനായ 'ബാരോസ്' അഭിനന്ദിക്കുന്നു... വിജയം, സമൃദ്ധി, കൂടുതൽ മഹത്വം…” he said.

‘Barroz – Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure’ is a 3D fantasy film based on a story by Jijo Punnoose, in the same name. Jijo Punnoose is best known for making ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’, India’s first 3D film. He is also the first person in South Indian cinema to make a film (Padayottam) in 70 mm format. Ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan will be cranking the lens, while child prodigy Lydian Nadhaswaram is composing the music. Award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad too is part of the film. Actors Rafael Amargo and Paz Vega will play the lead characters of Vasco Da Gama and his wife respectively in the film.
