Amala Paul shared pictures of her offering prayers at the temple and also penned a moving note.

“Scrapbooking my trip to Assam: Just basking in the glory of Shakti ~ The divine feminine power. The Kamhakya Devi temple rests atop the Neelachal Hill at Guwahati. The temple was built to honor the bleeding Mother Goddess Kamhakya Devi. According to the Kalika Purana, Kamakhya Temple denotes the spot where Sati's Yoni fell after Shiva tandav. The temple celebrates the 'shakti' within every woman. For someone who deeply believes in the lessons of the soul, visiting this temple was more than a mere mortal experience. I truly experienced the power within, the power is not to be mistaken with extreme aggression; a true sense of calmness and a stoic silence within me defines power for me. I gave myself to the mother and came back with the child inside me intact. #traveldiaries #soulfood #soultales #moonchildmusings #grateful #shakti,” she wrote in her social media post.
