Amal Neerad denies rumours of directing Kunjali Marikkar

The online was buzzing with reports that Amal Neerad and Mammootty would once again team up, this time for an epic film titled Kunjali Marikkar. However, the director says he has no knowledge of where such rumours spring up from.
“It’s been doing the rounds for some time but I won’t be directing the film,” says the director, who is currently busy cranking the camera for Anwar Rasheed’s Trance that has Fahadh Faasil in the lead.
Meanwhile, an official from August Cinemas that will be producing Kunjali Marikkar, which is scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan, confirms that the details of the film will be announced on Mammootty’s birthday, September 7.
