Always carry pepper sprays, pocket knives

A string of celebrities took to Social media to praise the strength of women On this International Womens Day. Among the lot, actress Abhirami had an entirely different point of view. The actress feels that observing womens day is quite futile amidst the rising number of violence against women.
She posted on her social networking page “ I want to wish everyone a happy women's day.But under the circumstances that exist for women and the attitudes of men towards women these days, it seems totally pointless. So here's an idea. I want every man in my friends list to find another person (man or woman) who thinks that women deserve to be raped because of their action/clothing or whatever other reason, and try to convince them why they are wrong. Once you've done that, change your status message to a description of that conversation. And come back and post here that you've done it. Make it happen this weekend.”
Abhirami also urged her women folks to carry pepper sprays and pocket knives and attack abusers with them. “As for women, here's what I ask of you, always carry pepper sprays/pocket knives. And the next time some a**hole tries to mess with you, attack him, scream, shout, make him feel sorry that he even thought of touching you.Will you do this for me?
