The Vinayan directorial was announced a few months back and the team has wrapped filming and the movie is currently under post-production. Sequel to the 1999 movie, 'Akasha Ganga,' the second part is also of the horror genre.
Interestingly the movie is shot in the same Vellinezhi Olappamanna Mana, where the first part was shot. Film-maker Vinayan, is introducing his son, Vishnu Vinay as the lead and debutant Arathi is playing the female lead.

Ramya Krishnan will be playing a pivotal character in the movie. As per the sources, she will be playing Dr Soumini Devi, a US-returned doctorate holder who practices black magic. Her character also has an interesting connection with the original story. Actors Siddique,
