Aju Varghese’s next is a buddy-cop comedy

Aju Varghese has emerged as one of the promising actors in Malayalam cinema. From comedy to intense characters, Aju Varghese has aced it all with sheer perfection. The actor is said to be starring in an upcoming buddy-cop comedy next.

Aju Varghese is teaming up with Rahul R Sharma, a former associate of filmmaker Mithun Manuel Thomas. The film will go on floors soon. The team will be making the official announcement, and will start filming in Kasargoad.

The upcoming film is said to be based on the 1993 Kasaragod Badiyatukka Devaloka murder, in which a rooster was the witness. Though Aju Varghese has donned the garb of a police officer earlier, it will be intriguing to witness him take the helm in the forthcoming buddy-cop comedy.

Directed by Rahul R Sharma, the upcoming film has the story and script crafted by PV Shajikumar, who has earlier handled the screenplay for ‘Take Off’, starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, Kunchacko Boban, and Fahad Faasil.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, the shoot of the second season of Aju Varghese’s web series ‘Kerala Crime Files’ started a few days ago.


Aju Varghese is also part of ‘Varshangalkku Shesham’ which is directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. The film is slated for release in April.
