Aju Varghese joins ‘Meppadaiyan’

’ today. The team was filming in Erattupetta, Kerala, and

Varghese joined the team there. Aju Varghese shared that he has been sitting at home for the past seven months and is excited to film for ‘Meppadiyan’. The actor also added that it is a unique experience to film during the pandemic and that the team has taken all the necessary precautions. Aju Varghese confirmed that ‘Meppadiyan’ will be an interesting film and also hinted that it will be released in the cinemas.

‘Meppadiyan’ is directed by debutant Vishnu Mohan. Young star Unni Mukundan will be essaying the lead character. Speaking to us earlier, Unni Mukundan has revealed that he is playing a commoner named Jayakrishnan, who is a mechanic. The actor also gained 15 kilos for the role and is undeniably an ambitious project for the star.

Unni Mukundan is also the producer of the film. ‘Meppadiyan’ is backed by Unni Mukundan under his home production banner Unni Mukundan Films.

Anju Kurian is playing the leading lady while actors Indrans, Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese and Vijay Babu will be playing some pivotal characters. The film will also feature actors Vijay Babu, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Aparna Janardhanan, Nisha Sarang, Kundara Johny, Major Ravi, Sreejith Ravi, Kottayam Ramesh, Pauly Wilson, Krishna Prasad, and Manohari Amma among others.

On the technical front, Neil D’Cunha has roped in as the cinematographer and Shameer Muhammad is the editor. Sabu Mohan is the art director for ‘Meppadiyan’, while Rahul Subramanian will be composing music.
