Aju Varghese arrested and released on bail

On Tuesday evening, actor Aju Varghese was arrested for naming the actress who recently survived an assault attempt.

The actor, who was booked on the complaint of a Kalamassery native, was later released on bail. Though Aju had earlier apologised and requested to quash the proceedings against him, the

Kerala High Court

had rejected his plea. Apparently, he even had a statement from the actress in which she said that she has no complaints against him.

Aju, who is awaiting the release of his film ‘Lava Kusha,’ appeared before the cops on Tuesday evening around 7 pm, post which he was arrested. After the formal proceedings, he was let off on bail in about half an hour.
