Tusker Nadakkal Unnikrishnan from the superhit film ‘Ajagajantharam’ passed away and according to some reports, the elephant had suffered from starvation, dehydration, and neglect.

Director Tinu Pappachan bid adieu to the star of his superhit film by taking to his official Instagram handle. The ‘Ajagajantharam’ director shared a picture of Nadakkal Unnikrishnan and on the behalf of all the crew members of the film, Tinu Pappachan penned a note that read, “Favourite Nadakkal Unnikrishnan. A lot of beautiful memories. Close to our hearts.”

According to a Tweet posted by an animal welfare organization, Nadakkal Unnikrishnan was found dead inside a rubber estate in Kottayam that didn’t even have a statutory shelter facility. Reportedly, Nadakkal Unnikrishnan also suffered starvation, dehydration, torture, and neglect. If the reports are to be believed these are some serious allegations that need to be addressed to the authority.

On the other hand, It can be even said that the tusker Nadakkal Unnikrishnan was the main highlight of Tinu Pappachan’s ‘Ajagajantharam’ and the movie performed well at the box office also.

‘Ajagajantharam’ hit the big screens on December 23, 2021, and the film was touted to be an action thriller. ‘Ajagajantharam’ was the sophomore directorial venture of Tinu Pappachan and the movie featured the actors Antony Varghese, Kichu Tellus, Arjun Ashokan, Sabumon Abdusamad, Vineeth Vishwam and Sinoj Varghese in significant roles.
