Aishwarya Lekshmi starrer ‘Kumari’ goes on floors

’ went on floors on Monday (Dec 13). The makers kickstarted the film with a puja function.

“Grateful to work with such amazing cast and crew for my second directorial,” director Nirmal Sahedev said while sharing the pictures of the puja function on social media. Actors Surabhi Lakshmi, Tanvi Ram, Unni Mukundan and Shine Tome Chacko, and Ramesh Pisharady too were present at the puja ceremony.

Written and directed by Nirmal Sahadev, ‘Kumari’ is expected to be a fantasy thriller. ‘Kumari’ is set against the backdrop of some folklore and myth and Aishwarya Lekshmi has roped in to play the titular. The makers had earlier launched an exceptional motion poster, leaving the audience spellbound.

“Presenting KUMARI A story that has given me sleepless nights for the enormity of its setting and scope … A tale that will take us back to our earliest memories of storytelling... Absolutely thrilled to be a part of this collaboration !!! Thrilled to be playing #KUMARI,” Aishwarya Lekshmi had said while launching the first look motion poster.

Nirmal Sahadev and Sachin Ramdas have jointly crafted the story of ‘Kumari’. On the technical front, Jigmé Tenzing, who has cranked the lens for ‘Ranam’ has roped in as the cinematographer of ‘Kumari’. Sreejith Sarang will be editing and colour grading the film. Jakes Bejoy is the music composer for the film. Supriya Menon of Prithviraj Productions is bringing the film to the cinemas.

Nirmal Sahadev’s previous film ‘Ranam’ featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran had made quite an impression on the cinephiles and hence the audience are eagerly awaiting the upcoming fantasy thriller.
