In a recent Tamil interview, she shared how yoga ultimately helped her overcome the trauma and regain control over her body and mind.
Menopause phase was traumatic
As reported by Asianet News, Aishwariyaa revealed that menopause started around the age of 46 or 47. She said, “The menopause phase is over now, but it was a trauma. During that time, there was unbearable heat. Even if I sat in an air-conditioned room, I would still feel hot. I would sweat a lot, especially on my back."
She added that she experienced irregular periods, constant use of pads, and sudden mood swings that made her cry without reason.

Intense pain during bleeding
The actress recalled a particularly painful episode while shooting in Kerala. She said, “At that time, I was in Kerala for a shoot. The bed would be completely soaked in blood. The pain felt like life was leaving my body. I even felt like removing my uterus with my own hands. That was how intense the pain was."
She immediately called her mother who advised her to continue practising yoga.
Yoga brought relief for Aishwariyaa Bhaskaran
Aishwariyaa followed her mother’s advice and practised yoga consistently. She shared, “I started practicing yoga. After completing 40 days of yoga, I experienced heavy bleeding."
After persisting with the practice, her symptoms gradually disappeared. She said, “After that, my menopause phase ended. The sweating, heat, and mood swings stopped. Now, both my body and mind feel at ease. My body is under my control now. I am very thankful to Sadhguru’s yoga classes.”
Aishwariyaa Bhaskaran began her career with films like 'Oliyampukal' and 'Mamagaru' in 1991. She went on to share screen space with leading stars like Mohanlal, Mammootty, and Suresh Gopi.
