After ‘Kaiyethum Doorath’, Fazil to collaborate with son Fahadh Faasil in ‘Malayankunju’

Veteran filmmaker Fazil has finally announced his next titled, ‘Malayankunju’. The filmmaker is returning to showbiz after nine years. However, this is not the only news here! Fazil will be producing his son Fahadh Faasil’s film, ‘Malayankunju’.
Yes, you read it right! Fazil will be backing ‘Malayankunju'. Acclaimed filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan will be scripting the film and debutant Sajimon is directing the film.Sajimon has assisted popular filmmaker VK Prakash and he is also the chief associate of Mahesh Narayanan’s upcoming film ‘Malik’.

‘Malayankunju’ will mark Fazil’s second project with his son after he directed Fahadh in the 2002 release ‘Kaiyethum Doorath’. Fahadh Faasil marked his debut in M-Town with ‘Kaiyethum Doorath’, but the film didn’t do well and Fahadh’s performance was highly criticized. Fahadh took a seven-year hiatus following that and then returned to the screens as a miraculous actor!
As the ‘Manichithrathazhu’ director Fazil is going to back his son’s project along with a brilliant team like ‘C U Soon’ director Mahesh Narayanan and debutant Sajimon, the cinephiles can go crazy on their expectations from ‘Malayankunju’.
Apart from scripting, Mahesh Narayanan will also be cranking the lens and editing for 'Malayankunju', Popular musician Sushin Syam who has films like ‘Virus’, ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ and ‘Varathan’ to his credit will be composing music for Malayankunju’. Kerala State Film Award-winning art director Jotish Shankar has also roped in for the project. Ranjith Ambadi has roped in as the makeup man. Century Films will be distributing 'Malayankunju' and the film will start rolling next year.
