‘Adopt a dog’, says Kaniha, as she shares an adorable post on International Dog Day

, annually to celebrate the special bond humans share with dogs. Animal lovers from around the world shared pictures of their pet

and actress Kaniha too has penned an adorable post. The actress clicked a picture with her pet dog

Maagie

and emphasized the importance of adopting a dog, instead of shopping for them.

“I hear that today is International Dog's Day. If you can adopt a dog please do...give them a home n love and be their hero. Trust me... one can't find such unconditional love elsewhere. I'm a proud mom to this zesty, naughty n crazy brat Maggie. She's the best that happened to me during this lockdown. Raising a pet is a lot of responsibility but with it comes infinite joy. @dogsofmadras is a great place to find and adopt these 4 legged angels,” Kaniha said, encouraging her fans and followers to adopt the furry friends.

Kaniha is currently filming for ‘Bro Daddy’ in Telangana. The upcoming Malayalam film is helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and has an ensemble cast of Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Meena, Lalu Alex, Kaniha, Murali Gopi and Soubin Shahir. ‘Bro Daddy’ also marks Prithviraj Sukumaran’s second directorial.
