Actor Adil Ibrahim gave his followers some food for thought on
Saying that social media had become a “validation seeking centre”, Adil, in this popular post, said that we are confined to our small screens where we post opinions without going out and doing things. “Let us do things so that we give meaning to our comments on social media,” he said.
Adding to what he said, the Lucifer actor wrote about how social media had its positives, but also outlined the negative influences of this media. “All of the social media with a plethora of colourful to monochrome photographs or conspiracy politics or patting philosophy or random fun videos should not make you feel lesser of yourself or get restless about your life… stop comparing. Comparison leads to chaos… not everyone comes from the same financial, social or follower background and don’t let this feeling of being less break you, because you are not any less,” he wrote, adding “do something for your mental well being”.
He followed it up with some practical advice, “Plz take a walk outside in fresh air, breathe effortlessly a few times or talk to your real ppl around without touching that phone consciously… it will add more value to your inner self and self worth.” And of course, he reminded people to not “judge me or anyone too early”.
