Actress Miya gets married in Kochi

The wedding function of Malayalam actress Miya was held at St Mary’s Basilica in Kochi on Saturday.
In a high-neck sequined gown in off-white shade, a matching mask and holding her elegant bouquet, the actress looked ethereal at her wedding. Her beau Ashwin Philip wore a classy suit.
The ceremony was solemnised by Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, and it was attended by just about 20 people, who were all family members and close friends.The function, held following the protocols of Covid – 19, started around 2.30 pm. The event would be followed by a reception at a prominent hotel in the city.
On the wedding even, a ‘madhuramveppu’ ceremony was also held, for which Miya wore a traditional Kerala saree and a palakka mala motif inspired blouse. There was also a bridal shower a couple of days ago, which was a surprise for Miya from her friends, and many candid snaps from the same had been making rounds on social media, ever since. It is on August 25 that Miya got officially engaged to Ashwin at St Thomas Cathedral, Pala in a low-key ceremony attended only by close family members and friends. Miya had worn a shimmery lehenga in onion pink, which had its pattern inspired from ancient European Damask motifs. Ashwin had worn a mint green Nehru suit model waist coat and trousers. In June, the families had also come together for an informal wedding fixing ceremony in Kottayam.
Miya’s last film released in Malayalam is ‘Driving Licence,’ in which she played the character of Suraj Venjaramoodu’s wife.
