', escaped a car accident by a whisker. The incident took place near Mullanthuruthi,

Ernakulam

on Sunday morning, when the actress's car was hit by another car coming from the opposite direction. Megha escaped with a minor injury, but reports suggest the accident was serious.

Megha was on her way to her parents' home from her flat in

Kochi

to attend her brother's engagement function when the mishap occurred. A speeding car from opposite direction apparently hit Megha's car which turned flip-side on the collision. According to an eyewitness, Megha stayed in the car unconsciously for about fifteen minutes and nobody bothered offering a helping hand other than gathering around the vehicle before a photographer helped the actress out of the car and transferred her to the nearby hospital. The air bag safety measure installed in Megha's car saved a tragedy, according to reports.

The actress, responding to the accident, said that it was a miracle to live another day after such an accident.

Megha who debuted in Mollywood through the movie 'Anandam', has played important roles in many movies since, including 'Oru Mexican Aparatha', 'Masterpiece' etc.
