It’s definitely not a good time for Mollywood artistes these days. A case has been filed by an actress against
Honey Bee 2 director
Jean Paul Lal and its producer
Lal for reportedly using a body double of hers to shoot an obscene scene.
Earlier, there were reports that the actress, whose identity is withheld, claimed that she was not paid her remuneration as promised, and when she went to enquire the reason, the director and three others from the crew passed lewd remarks.
While both Jean was unavailable for comment despite repeated attempts, the director’s father Lal had come out strongly against the actress for making “false accussations”.
He had said that Jean had cast the actress for a minor role but was unsatisfied with her work. “When we were served the notice last month, we decided to give her a remuneration of Rs 50,000 as opposed to the promised Rs 25,000. But then she asked for Rs 10 lakh compensation and a public apology on television,” he said.
Actor Baburaj, who was also part of the film, came out in support of the director, asking why it took the actress so long to file the complaint, especially since the shooting of the movie was over by March this year.
