Actress Divya Prabha files a complaint against a co-passenger who harassed her on Air India flight

Malayalam actress Divya Prabha, best known for her role in the film ‘Ariyippu’ has lodged a complaint against a co-passenger, who allegedly harassed her on an Air India flight on Tuesday (Oct 10). The actress herself spoke about the ordeal via her social media handle.
In her note, Divya Prabha said that an intoxicated fellow passenger harassed her during the flight, and upon reporting it to the cabin crew, they only reseated her. The actress filed a complaint upon landing at Kochi airport.
In the note, Divya Prabha said, “Dear Friends, Need your support to bring attention to a disturbing incident I faced on Air India Flight AI 681 from Mumbai to Kochi. A fellow passenger, intoxicated and disruptive, harassed me during the flight.”
Her note further read, “Despite reporting to the Air hostess, the only action taken was relocating me to another seat, just before the takeoff. After landing at kochi airport the issue was reported to airport and airline authorities who redirected me to the police aid post in the airport. Here's my formal complaint to the Kerala Police, urging them to investigate this matter.”
She also shared snapshots of the complaint she emailed to the concerned authorities. Divya Prabha concluded by seeking the support of netizens and stressing the significance of safety during such journeys, “Let's raise awareness about the importance of passenger safety and encourage authorities to take appropriate actions. Your support means a lot!”

Divya Prabha’s colleagues and friends from the industry extended support and solidarity with the actress. “I’m so sorry you had this experience. I hope proper action will be taken against the person,” Anna Ben said. Actress Archana Kavi wrote, “So sorry this happened... I really hope right action will be taken sooner.”

Actor-dancer Rachana Narayanankutty shared that she too had experienced a similar situation a while ago, and the solution the airline group suggested was giving her another seat. “So sorry to hear this… many years before I too had this kind of experience from another airline and the response was the same as “given another seat”. Hope the authorities would address this issue seriously,” Rachana said.
