The abduction and sexual assault of prominent Malayalam actress Bhavana in 2017 shocked the film industry and sparked an ongoing legal battle, particularly as allegations pointed towards actor Dileep. A key piece of evidence in the case is a memory card said to contain visuals of the attack.

Now, Bhavana took to her social media to state that her privacy is not safe in the court. Bhavana's statement on social media reveals that the High Court directed the Sessions Court to provide her with a copy of the investigation.

Upon reviewing the report, she found the revelations "tragically shocking," as it indicated that her privacy as a citizen is being compromised.

She highlighted that altering the hash value of the memory card, which contains visual evidence of the assault, infringes upon her fundamental rights. This tampering, she noted, undermines her constitutional rights and leaves her feeling unsafe within the judicial system.

Bhavana expressed concern that such failures on the court's part diminish the strength of victims while allowing perpetrators to feel emboldened. Nonetheless, she remains steadfast in her belief that truth will prevail and her journey for justice will continue.

She reiterated her faith in the country's judicial system as the last hope for Indian citizens, and expressed confidence that it will maintain its integrity and impartiality.

Meanwhile, it was recently when Bhavana filed a plea to the High Court, requesting a special investigation into the alleged illegal access of the memory card, which is currently under judicial custody.
