Actress Anjana Jayaprakash to portray Indulekha in Mammootty’s 'Turbo'

Promising actress Anjana Jayaprakash, who captivated audiences with her performance in Fahadh Faasil’s comedy 'Paachuvum Athbhuthavilakkum', is set to take on the role of Indulekha in the highly anticipated Mammootty starrer 'Turbo'.

Scheduled for a worldwide release on May 23, 2024, 'Turbo' promises to be a thrilling addition to Mammootty's recent successful ventures.

The filmmakers recently unveiled the character look poster for Anjana Jayaprakash as Indulekha, accompanied by an Instagram announcement: “Anjana Jayaprakash as Indulekha #Turbo In Cinemas Worldwide on May 23, 2024.”

Earlier, Anjana shared her excitement on her official Instagram handle, expressing her enthusiasm with a note that read, “I am on a film poster with THE Mammookka! Okay, be cool.”

Directed by Vysakh, 'Turbo' marks Mammootty’s return to the mass hero avatar, a role he hasn’t embraced in a long time. The 2.13-minute trailer, which has generated significant buzz, showcases Mammootty as Jose, also known as ‘Turbo’ Jose. The action-comedy film hints at a high-octane, entertaining theatrical experience, with Mammootty’s character embroiled in a series of unexpected events that put him at odds with the antagonist, Vetrivel.

Adding to the film’s allure, popular Kannada actor-filmmaker Raj B Shetty plays the villain, promising a riveting showdown between the characters.
