While whole Keralites are mourning over the loss of Oommen Chandy, Mollywood actor Vinayakan has passed an unnecessary comment on the most loved former Chief Minister via his social media live session, asking, ‘Who is Oommen Chandy? Minutes after his controversial comment went viral, the actor removed the video from his official social media handle.

During a live social media video, Vinayakan stirred controversy with his statement, questioning, "Who is Oommen Chandy?" and expressing bewilderment over the extensive media coverage of his death for three days.

After facing backlash, the actor criticized the media's handling of the situation, urging them to stop giving the news much importance. He asserted that death is a natural part of life, and like anyone else, Oommen Chandy was also bound to pass away.

Furthermore, Vinayakan disagreed with the media's portrayal of Oommen Chandy as a good person, stating that he doesn't share the same beliefs.
