Rasheen, the elder son of veteran actor Siddique, passed away on Thursday (June 27) in Kochi.
According to On Manorama, Rasheen, 37, succumbed to respiratory failure after being admitted to a private hospital due to breathing issues. He had been unwell for an extended period and was undergoing treatment.
Rasheen, affectionately known as Sappy, was a cherished member of his family, particularly due to his special needs. His family, including his younger brother Shaheen Siddique, a noted actor in the Malayalam film industry, provided him with attentive care and support.
Rasheen’s brother Shaheen Siddique made his acting debut in the Mammootty-starrer ‘Pathemari’ and has since appeared in several notable films, including the Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer ‘Sesham Mike-il Fathima,’ Unni Mukundan’s ‘Shafeekkinte Santhosham,’ and others.
The funeral for Rasheen will be held on Thursday evening at the Juma Masjid in Padamugal, where family, friends, and well-wishers are expected to gather to pay their respects and offer their condolences. It was last year when Shaheen introduced his brother to the media during the former’s wedding festivities.
Actor Siddique, known for his versatile roles in Malayalam cinema, has received an outpouring of support from colleagues, fans, and the public during this difficult time.
