Nedumbram Gopi breathed his last on Tuesday, August 16 at his residence in Thiruvalla, Kottayam. Nedumbram Gopi was aged 85.
Nedumbram Gopi made his acting debut with the veteran director Blessy’s drama film ‘Kaazhcha’ which was released in the year. He played a grandfather character in the
Mammootty starrer that also featured the actors Padmapriya, Sanusha, Yash Gawli, Manoj K Jayan, Innocent, and Augustine in significant roles.

Later on, Nedumbram Gopi played a significant role in the Kavya Madhavan starrer ‘Sheelabathi’ which was written and directed by R Sarath and released in the year 2005.
Nedumbram Gopi has also shared screen space with the superstar
Suresh Gopi for the action drama movie ‘Ashwaroodan’ where he essayed an advocate character. The film became a superhit and Nedumbram Gopi again teamed up with the director Jayaraaj for the thriller film ‘Of the People’ which was the third installment of the superhit film ‘Four the People’. Also, he has teamed up with Jayaraaj for the film ‘Aanachandram’.
With the Malayalam actor Jayaram, Nedumbram Gopi has worked on two projects including the films ‘Aanachandam’ and ‘Ulsaha Committee’. Nedumbram Gopi played a significant role in ‘Aanachandram’ which also had the actors Cochin Haneefa, Innocent,
Salim Kumar, Poornima Anand, and KPAC Lalitha in significant roles.
Nedumbram Gopi’s last outing was with the drama film ‘Alif’ which was written and directed by NK Muhammed Koya and was released in the year 2015. Some of the other prominent works of the actor includes the movies 'Bioscope', and 'Thaniye'.
