Actor Babu Antony remembers late businessman - actor Atlas Ramachandran

Popular businessman MM Ramachandran popularly known as Atlas Ramachandran breathed his last on October 3rd. The funeral function of Atlas Ramachandran will be held in Dubai later.

Apart from being a popular businessman, Atlas Ramachandran has also played pivotal roles in several Malayalam movies and has also worked as a film producer. Recently the Mollywood actor Babu Antony penned a heartfelt note via his official Facebook handle, remembering the late businessman.

Babu Antony’s Facebook note read, “Very sorry to hear the passing of Mr. Ramachandran who produced the epic film "Vaisali" directed by the master craftsman Barathetten. I was very lucky to be a part of it playing one of the most appreciated roles of mine, King Lomapadan.”

Atlas Ramachandran played significant roles in several Malayalam movies and some of them include ‘Three Char Sau Bees’, ‘Malabar Wedding’, ‘Arabikkatha’, and ‘2 Harihar Nagar’. He has also directed the Malayalam film named ‘Holidays’ which was released in the year 2010 and was scripted by Mohan Thomas. ‘Holidays’ was categorized as a comedy-drama and featured the actors Harisree Asokan, Byon, Anoop Chandran, Muktha George, Sruthi Lakshmi, Priya Lal, and Kalabhavan Mani in significant roles. Atlas Ramachandran also bankrolled the classic film ‘Vaisali’ which was directed by Bharathan.

On the other hand, Babu Antony’s recent outing was with the epic drama film ‘Ponniyin Selvan:1’ which was directed by the veteran filmmaker ‘Mani Ratnam’. The film is getting much adulation from audiences all over and has reportedly crossed Rs 200 crores at the box office.
