'Aavesham’ box office collection day 4: The Fahadh Faasil starrer earns more than its opening day collection

Fahadh Faasil’s latest release ‘Aavesham’ has indeed added a lot of zest to the theatres. The film released on the big screens on April 11, during the Eid-Vishu festive season, has emerged as a blockbuster. ‘Aavesham’ directed by Jithu Madhavan has a record collection on its first Sunday, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Vishu on April 14.

According to a report by Sacnilk, on Sunday, also the fourth day of the release, ‘Aavesham’ minted Rs 4.75 crore from India net collection, surpassing its opening day figures. The film had opened with a commendable Rs 3.65 crore on its opening day, followed by Rs 3.35 crore and Rs 4.25 crore on the second and third days respectively.

The film's performance on Sunday, April 14, 2024, showcased its stronghold at the box office with an overall Malayalam occupancy of 68.41%.

Directed by Jithu Madhavan, ‘Aavesham’ has Fahadh Faasil, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Sajin Gopu in the key roles.

By the conclusion of its fourth day, ‘Aavesham’ soared to a worldwide collection of Rs 33 crore, firmly establishing its box office dominance. The film's India net collection stands at an impressive 16 crore, while the overseas collection stands at Rs 20 crore.

It is worth noting that ‘Aavesham’ is at the top amongst the Malayalam films released on April 11, which includes ‘Varshangalkku Shesham’ and ‘Jai Ganesh’.

ETimes rated the film 3.5 out of 5 and wrote, “Just when you think Fahadh Faasil - or FaFa - has aced some of the best characters he could possibly get in his career, he goes all out as Ranga in writer-director Jithu Madhavan's goofball gangster film Aavesham. Jithu Madhavan has already shown that he knows how to do things differently and with style, with his debut horror movie, Romancham. He has delivered another unique comedy with Aavesham.”
