Director Blessy has firmly stated his decision not to undertake the production of a film depicting the life of Abdul Rahim, a Kozhikode native facing the death penalty in Saudi Arabia.

Despite an offer from businessman Boby Chemmanur, Blessy revealed during a press conference in Dubai that he is currently uninterested in pursuing such a project.

During the conference, Blessy disclosed that Boby Chemmanur had approached him with the idea of the film. However, Blessy expressed his hesitation, citing his desire to embark on projects distinct from his previous works. He emphasized that, having directed only eight movies thus far, he aims for his ninth endeavor to offer a fresh perspective and narrative.

Reflecting on his initial response to Bobby Chemmanur's proposal, Blessy admitted his unfamiliarity with Rahim's story and expressed reluctance to produce a film reminiscent of his previous work, 'Aadujeevitham.' Despite being unable to provide a definitive answer, Blessy conveyed his best wishes for Bobby Chemmanur's project.

Furthermore, Blessy expressed skepticism about his suitability for depicting Rahim's life solely based on his prior work on 'Aadujeevitham.'

Blessy revealed his desire for diversity in his filmography and expressed doubt that the offer would align with his creative vision.
