Aadu Thoma is back in action! Mohanlal launches the 4K teaser of ‘Spadikam’

‘Spadikam’, the 1995 release fan favourite is all set to re-release in the cinemas next month (Feb), and the makers have began the promotional events. On Saturday (Jan 14), Mohanlal launched the 4K teaser of the film, and it is everything you were hoping for! The 0.54 second teaser, gives a glimpse of Aadu Thomas, played by Mohanlal, and his father Chacko, played by late Thilakan. Aadu Thoma and his unsettling life is ready to unfold, and this time, with much stronger, with 4K Dolby Atmos audio visual experience.

The teaser gives a taste of the remastered version of the film, which promises that the cinephiles are in for a treat.

Mohanlal launched the teaser via his social media handle and captioned it, “#Spadikam Official Teaser. Watch it with your headphones on.”

A cult-classic, ‘Spadikam’ tells the story of a father and son, and how their relationship suffers because of the over expectations and strict parenting of the former. Mohanlal and late Thilakan, who played the lead roles in the film impressed the audience with their exceptional onscreen chemistry.

In an earlier interview with ETimes, ‘Spadikam’ director Bhadran opened up about some of the challenges he faced while the remastering of the film. “While converting it into digital 4K Dolby Atmos projection, the biggest challenge we faced was to take care of its quality, without losing its soul, and present it in the most convincing way. ‘Spadikam’ is three times better, in terms of the audio-visual experience when converted into 4K Dolby Atoms,” Bhadran said.
