'Aadachayi’ set to hit theaters on January 17; Deets inside

‘Aadachayi’, a film that portrays the challenging lives of farmers cultivating rice in Kuttanad, is set for a theatrical release on January 17.

"Aadachayi," which has won multiple awards, including Best Environmental Film, focuses on how political and quarry mafia connections exploit the environment. Set against the backdrop of Kuttanad and the Western Ghats, the film strongly highlights the importance of agricultural preservation.

Directed by Dr. Binoy G. Russell and produced by C.G. Joseph under the banner of J.J. Productions, the film sheds light on environmental conservation and the struggles faced by farmers. The script of this drama movie is penned by Dr. Binoy G. Russell, and the screenplay is by Sunil K. Anand.

The narrative revolves around Aadachayi, a dedicated farmer from Kuttanad, and his son Akhil, who works as an agricultural officer. Through their lives, the film beautifully expresses the essence of soil, wetlands, paddy fields, emotions, and deep-rooted connections to the land.

Renowned actor Chembil Ashokan plays the titular role of Aadachayi. The film carries a powerful message: "The land that hasn't yet died! In your near-death state, find your inner peace!"
