Grace Antony joins 'Refuse The Abuse'
Actress Grace Antony is the latest Mollywood artiste to join the Women in Cinema Collective’s campaign titled ‘Refuse The Abuse.’
While urging netizens to stay away from cyber bullying, Grace said that for some people, it has now become a ritual online to create separate profiles solely for cyber bullying.
“A profile for browsing and another fake profile for comments.
1x1 polls
I don’t know whether they are men or women, often, for they don’t have faces most of the time. What I want to say is to those people without faces. The next time you try to make a comment under someone’s post, insulting them, think for a moment while you are typing – ‘What if it is my post?’ ‘What if it is the post of someone dear to me?’ – how would they feel it. It would be fun, isn’t it? The next time you type such a comment, have this in mind. Maybe you can just type something and leave, and not bother about what happens to that person later,” says Grace, taking a dig at cyber bullies.
She adds, “You don’t have faces because you are really scared. It is high time you stopped this activity. Refuse the abuse.”
Many artistes, singers and more have already come forward and joined the campaign. Some of the artistes who have already given their voice to ‘Refuse The Abuse’ campaign in the recent times are Manju Warrier, Anaswara Rajan, Divya Unni, Sayanora, Poornima Indrajith, Navya Nair, Nimisha Sajayan, Parvathy Thiruvoth, Srinda and Ranjini Haridas.
