A.M.M.A backlash: Mohanlal threatens to quit his post

A reported split inside the actor's association A.M.M.A, regarding the decision to give legal aid to an assaulted actress, is doing rounds on the news.
Reports suggest there was a difference in opinion regarding association's decision to join the petition on the request of a lawyer in the actress’ case. Apparently, a letter written by A.M.M.A president, Mohanlal to the state government, requesting for a female lawyer has been hijacked by a group who supports Dileep.Mohanlal the newly elected president of the association is said to have asked why the accused actor is afraid if he hasn't done the crime. Mohanlal, has reportedly gone to the verge of resigning from his post of A.M.M.A president, furious over an alleged manipulation done by a powerful member in the association to hijack his letter before it reached the Ministry. However, Edavela Babu has intervened in the situation citing an evident difference in stance regarding the actress’ assault case.
Meanwhile, the assault victim stayed away from making comments regarding the controversies happening within A.M.M.A and is determined to fight this case until justice is served.
