A film titled ‘Lal Jose’ is all set to hit screens

It’s in 2018 that a film got released in Malayalam, titled ‘Mohanlal,’ directed by Sajid Yahiya. Now, yet another movie will soon hit screens, that borrows its title from a renowned figure in Mollywood film industry.


The film, which is titled ‘Lal Jose,’ is directed by filmmaker Kabeer Puzhambram, who is a newbie. We hear that the movie predominantly has many newcomers as part of its cast. The film is produced by Haseeb Meppaatt, under the banner of 666 Productions, and its shooting was completed recently.

Apparently, the movie is named after filmmaker Lal Jose, as the protagonist in its story is a young man, who is obsessed with films and anyone who has anything to do with it. The obsession also has to do something with a major turning point in his life as well. The movie, which is expected to be a family entertainer, would also address a handful of relevant recent events that happened around us.

The hero of the story is played by actor Mohammad Shariq, who is a familiar figure in the online world. The female lead of the story is Ann Andrea. The movie also has the late actor Sasi Kalinga, who passed away on April 7, in Kozhikode, due to liver failure. Bhagath Manuel, Riza Bawa and Jenson are also some of the other actors in the film. Dhanesh is the cinematographer of ‘Lal Jose,’ which has Binesh Mani as the music director and Joe Paul writing its lyrics.
The major locations of the film were Edappal, Munnal and Kochi, and the makers also say music plays an important part in the movie.
