The 67th Parle Filmfare Awards South for this year is being held in Bangalore for the first time and several talents across Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil are presented with the prestigious black lady.

Mollywood actor Jayasurya bagged the male critics award for the best actor for the drama film ‘Vellam’ which was directed by Prajesh Sen. ‘Vellam’ and received much appreciation from the audience for its content and also a terrific performance by Jayasurya. Actors Samyuktha Menon, Saiju Kurup, Priyanka Upendra, and Johny Antony also played pivotal roles in the movie.

The female critics award for the best actress was bagged by the prominent and talented actress Kani Kusruti.

The rest of the awards from the Malayalam section includes, Rafeeq Ahammed for best lyrics, and KS Chithra (Theerame song in ‘Malik’) bagged the best playback singer female award. The best supporting actor award was bagged by the renowned actor Joju George for the critically acclaimed drama movie ‘Nayattu’.
