53rd Kerala State Film Awards: Lijo Jose Pellissery’s film ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ is the Best Film

Lijo Jose Pellissery’s off-beat film ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ has been selected as the Best Film at the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards which was announced by Saji Cheriyan on July 21.

Helmed by the veteran director Lijo Jose Pellissery, ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ hit the big screens on December 12, 2022, and the movie was hailed as one of the best films of the year. With a perfect mix of drama and surrealism, ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ is indeed one of the best films in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s filmography which showcases the brilliant acting talent of Mammootty.

Apart from Mammootty, ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ also featured the actors Ramya Pandian, Sanjana Dipu, Vipin Atley, Ashokan, and several others in significant roles.

Meanwhile, Mammootty bagged the Best Actor Award at the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards for the movie ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’.

Mahesh Narayanan was selected as the Best Director for the film ‘Ariyippu’ starring Kunchacko Boban and Divya Prabha in the lead. Talented and promising actress Vincy Aloshious bagged the Best Actress Award at the 53rd Kerala State Awards 2022.
