5 Things to look forward to in Mammootty’s ‘Rorschach’

With perfect duration, cuts, and music, it can be said that Mammootty’s ‘Rorschach’ trailer is indeed one of the best trailers released recently and the expectation levels for Nisam Basheer’s thriller have skyrocketed among the audience for all the right reasons. Scripted by ‘Iblis’ fame Sameer Abdul, ‘Rorschach’ is touted to be a psychological thriller and is definitely one of the most highly anticipated upcoming movies of the legendary superstar Mammootty. Here let’s take a look at the 5 things to look forward to in Mammootty’s ‘Rorschach’.

From ‘Memories’ to ‘Anjaam Paathira’, most thrillers follow the same template where the lead character is on a mission to take down the culprit of a crime or to solve a mystery. Coming to ‘Rorschach’, the makers seem to be breaking the cliche starting from the unique title of the movie itself. Perfectly mixed with horror, suspense, and action, ‘Rorschach’ makers are trying to aim a bit higher than delivering a normal thriller to the audience.

‘Rorschach’ boasts a strong cast starting from Mammootty to Kottayam Nazeer. It can be expected that the film would deliver several terrific performances from the majority of the cast. Actor Kottayam Nazeer is shown as a dark-shaded character who seems to be having a mysterious past that is in connection with the character Luke Antony played by Mammootty. Actress Grace Antony will be playing the female lead in ‘Rorschach’.

White room torture is defined as a type of psychological torture technique where a prisoner is deprived of all senses and identity and is trapped inside a white room. In the ending portion of the trailer of ‘Rorschach’, Mammootty is shown trapped inside a white room which is definitely in connection to this torture technique. It will be the first time the Malayali audience will be witnessing such kind of torture techniques in movies that are most commonly seen in the majority of Hollywood thriller films.

Mammootty will be playing a character named Luke Antony in ‘Rorschach’ and from the few glimpses in the trailer, it can be said that his character structure has some underlying dark tones that also hint that he will be probably playing a negative-shaded character in the movie. From the trailer, it seems that the majority of the characters in the movie have no clue regarding the real identity of Luke Antony even though the police characters in the movie identify him to be a normal UK citizen whereas some other characters term him as a fraud. Overall it can be assumed that Mammootty’s character will have some antagonist traits in the movie.

The audience can surely look forward to some brilliantly choreographed action sequences in this Mammootty starrer and a few glimpses of those stunts reminds us of the terrific godown stunt scene in Amal Neerad’s ‘Bheeshma Parvam’. Apart from delivering some nail-biting thrilling scenes, ‘Rorschach’ makers also promise to offer high-voltage action sequences. The stunt choreographer in ‘Rorschach’ is Supreme Sundar who is best known for the movies Ajagajantharam’, ‘Varathan’, ‘Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil’, and ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’.
