2022 will be a golden year for Mammootty, his upcoming movies tell us so

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran once said in an interview that the interesting phase in Mammootty’s career has only started and when you take a look at the movie releases of the legendary actor Mammootty in 2022, these words of Prithviraj just prove to be true to its core. From the mass-entertainer movie ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ to the realistic social drama film ‘Puzhu’, the actor seems to be applying his Midas touch over each and every film genre, catering to the wants of different sections of the audience. Here let’s take a look at the upcoming movie releases of Mammootty and the reasons why the year 2022 will be the golden year in his film career.

The stage is set and the curtain rises for the legendary actor Mammootty to nail the role of Michael in the stylish director Amal Neerad’s upcoming movie ‘Bheeshma Parvam’. The film ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ is just a tease for the audience before the big bang, which is ‘Bilal’, the second part of the superhit Mammootty- Amal Neerad combo film ‘Big B’. From all the character posters that the makers of ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ released, it’s understandable that the movie will have all the stylish elements of Amal Neerad which we have seen in his previous films ‘Anwar’, Iyobinte Pusthakam’, and ‘Big B’. Actor Soubin Shahir, who plays a major role in the film, said in an interview that the audience will be really stunned after watching ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ and actor Mammootty will have a ‘Nadan’ look in the film. The film is set to release on 24 February.

Watching the teaser for ‘Puzhu’, you could really feel the tension in it especially because of the magnificent acting skills and dialogue presentation of Mammootty. If an actor could really stun you in just a 40-second teaser, then imagine what wonders he could bring out onto the screen when the full movie is released. Mammootty will surely break the definition of stardom with this movie by playing an antagonist role with some nuances of pedophilia in his character. The film is directed by Ratheena PT under the script written by the writer Harshad.

The film ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ is like a wish come true for Mammootty’s fans as they really wanted to see the magnificent actor working with the most renowned director Lijo Jose Pellissery. If the reports are to be believed, actor Mammootty will be playing a character named ‘Velan’ aka ‘Nakulan’ who is a bicycle mechanic and scrap dealer by day and a local thief at night. Actress Ramya Pandian is said to play a character named ‘Mayil’ who is Velan's wife. The story of ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ is written by S. Hareesh.

Ever since the writer S.N Swamy announced the fifth and final installment of the classic ‘CBI’ series, the fans were really excited. Now the actor Mammootty has joined the sets of the movie and the makers announced that the first look poster featuring Mammootty as the iconic investigation officer Sethurama Iyer will be released soon. There were also unofficial announcements that the actor Jagathy Sreekumar will be making a comeback in ‘CBI 5’ as the CBI officer character Vikram. The classical CBI background music which was originally composed by Shyam will be reprised by the music composer Jakes Bejoy. The fifth installment of the ‘CBI’ series which is tentatively titled ‘CBI 5’ will be directed by K.Madhu under the script penned down by S.N. Swamy and the cast list of the film includes Soubin Shahir, Mukesh, Sai Kumar, Asha Sharath, and, Renji Panicker.
