Roumours have been spreading across social media networking sites that the public blocked actress Bhamaa's way while she was trying to leave an inaugural function midway demanding more payment. However the actress confirmed on her social networking page that the news is wrong and the truth isn't what is being circulated. She wrote, " It has come to my notice that a Fake News is spreading in social media that I was prevented by the public when I tried to quit a private inaugural function midway.
The rumour that is being spread is that I tried to get away without fulfilling my commitment, since I was not paid the promised remuneration.
In this context I may clarify what exactly transpired. I was invited to this function by one Mr. Sreejith Rajamani http://www.facebook.com/sreejithrajamani who introduced himself as the Managing Director of Unique Models and Celebrity Management . According to the terms I was supposed to be paid Rs. 2.5 lakhs for inaugurating the shop. Out of this an amount of Rs. 1 lakh was promised as advance. The rest of the amount was promised to be handed over in cash before the inaugural function. But only an amount of Rs 15000 came to my account as advance. But as a professional I deemed it as my duty to attend the function and I expected that the promised amount would be handed over when i reach the premises for the function. But what happened afterwards was shocking. When I reached the spot there was no trace of this person called Sreejith Rajamani. I tried to contact him over phone but to no avail. To add to my woes those who organized the function told me that Sreejith Rajamani had already borrowed an amount of Rs. 50000/- towards my remuneration. I was startled to learn that this person had misled the organizers by saying that I demanded only Rs. 1 lakh for the function. To put it mildly, this was an act of utter fraudulence. I was left high and dry when I came to know that I was blatantly cheated. But though I realized that it was an act of double crossing, I fulfilled my commitment and returned only after doing what I was expected to do. I request my well wishers not to believe the canards spread against me in this regard.
Apart from this I would like to draw the attention of my fellows in the industry to the nefarious acts of fraudulent people like Sreejith Rajamani. And I have sought legal aid to ensure that this act of fraudulence is not left unpunished. Hope that the long arm of law catches up with such swindlers. I was cheated, there is no two ways about it. But I sincerely hope that such a plight may not befall anyone else in the film industry in the future.
This is my plea towards my fans and well wishers that i am not a person who gives priority to money over your support and affection towards to me. I request all of you not to believe these kind of fabricated stories and request your wholehearted support again Thank u
Sincerely yours -Bhamaa ." (SIC)
