Did you know that the movie is based on a true story? It's the tale of hardships faced by NRI Malayali businessman Jacob Zachariah, his wife Sherly and their four children, after a business partner cheated them. Nivin Pauly's lead character is inspired by Gregory Jacob, who now heads an electro-mechanical contract firm in Dubai. The movie has Renji Panicker, Aima Rosmy, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan and Sreenath Bhasi also in pivotal roles.
