Did you know Yami Gautam was a part of the Malayalam film, ‘Hero’ starring Prithviraj Sukumaran?

Yami Gautam tied the knot with 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' director Aditya Dhar in an intimate wedding on Friday (June 4). The couple was reportedly in a relationship for three years and entered wedlock recently. And now the pictures from their wedding ceremony are making rounds on social media.

Yami Gautam, who began her career in 2009 with the Kannada film ‘Ullasa Utsaha’ has worked in different entertainment industries including Bollywood. But did you know that Yami Gautam has also worked in Malayalam cinema?

Yes, that’s right! She has worked in a Malayalam movie, back in 2012. Yami Gautam shared the screen with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the film ‘

Hero

’. She essayed a character named Gowri Menon, who is a huge movie star. Prithviraj Sukumaran played Tarzan Antony, who is a stuntman in films. ‘Hero’ is the debut Malayalam film of Yami Gautam and apparently is the only film the actress has done in Malayalam yet.

‘Hero’ was helmed by Dipan and produced by GP Vijayakumar, under the banner Seven Arts International. Vinod Guruvayoor was the scenarist for the film. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Yami Gautam played the lead roles, while actor Srikanth Krishnamachari, Anoop Menon, Bala Kumar, and Thalaivasal Vijay played some pivotal roles in the film.

Bharani K Dharan cranked the lens for ‘Hero’ and Samjith Muhammad was the editor. Gopi Sunder handled the music department for the film while Anil Panachooran penned the lyrics.

Meanwhile, Yami Gautam has also posted some pictures of the wedding. Post wedding, she shared a picture of the ceremony and penned, “With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family. As we embark on the journey of love and friendship, we seek all your blessings and good wishes. Love, Yami and Aditya.”

On the work front, Yami Gautam’s last outing was ‘Ginny Weds Sunny’.
