Blessy is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film ‘Aadujeevitham’, which will hit the big screens tomorrow, March 28. The upcoming film has Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role.

But did you know that Mohanlal is one of the favorite actors of filmmaker Blessy? renowned for his poignant storytelling and ability to evoke deep emotions through his films, has collaborated with Mohanlal three times. And one of the collaborations even resulted in Blessy bagging a national award.

Mohanlal and Blessy first teamed up in 2005 for ‘Thanmathra’, which also marked the latter’s sophomore directorial. ‘Thanmathra’, based on Padmarajan's short story Orma, tells the heartbreaking story of a man who gets diagnosed with familial Alzheimer's disease and eventually loses his memory and cognitive abilities. The film won the National Award for Best Film and five state awards, including Best Actor and Best Director.

In 2009, Blessy presented Mohanlal as Sivankutty, a character haunted by his past, in 'Bhramaram'. Later, the duo teamed up for ‘Pranayam’. Released in 2011, the film explored the meaning of love, companionship, and many more among the elderly. Mohanlal, Jaya Prada, and Anupam Kher played the lead roles in the film.


Meanwhile, the buzz for ‘Aadujeevitham’ is at its peak, as the adventure drama is set to hit the big screens tomorrow. The special screening held in Hyderabad on Sunday, March 24, earned much praise from industry insiders, including superstar Kamal Haasan.
