Mukesh is one of the popular actors in Malayalam cinema. The actor began his career in the early 1980s and in his career spanning nearly four decades, he has portrayed a wide range of roles on screen. And you might have watched both serious and humorous movies featuring Mukesh. But did you know that Megastar Mammootty played a second hero in a movie that had Mukesh in the lead role? Yes, you read it right!

Mukesh marked his debut in Malayalam cinema with the 1982 release ‘Balloon’. He played the role of

Chandu

, a balloon seller.

Sobha Mohan

was seen as his leading lady and Mammootty played the second hero in the film.

In an earlier award night, Mammootty had spoken about his bond with Mukesh. “I was the second hero in Mukesh’s debut film. He took me to Kalidasa kalakendram, introduced me to his parents, cracked jokes about his college days. Mukesh treated me well,” Mammootty said, during the show.
