As Asif was a newbie, Mamta was welcoming and interacted with him a lot to put him at ease. But Asif Ali, who was unmarried then, mistook her comforting nature and thought that she loved him! Last year was a breakthrough in his career, as he got the opportunity to essay Govind in the Parvathy Thiruvothu-starrer 'Uyare'. Govind was the lover of Pallavi (Parvathy Thiruvothu) in the movie and his performance won the hearts of movie lovers. His recent release ‘Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha’, where he essayed Sleevachan also made headlines. The actor will be next seen in ‘Kunjeldho’ in which he will be essaying the role of a college student.
