Asif Ali is one of the young and talented actors in M-Town. The actor began his career with Shyamaprasad’s ‘Ritu’. And while the actor is happily married with wife Zama Mazreem now, he once fell in love with his co-star Mamta Mohandas. As the story goes, Asif Ali was working for his second movie ‘Kadha Thudarunnu’ with Sathyan Anthikkad and the young actor fell for his co-star. He was acting opposite Mamta Mohandas in the movie. As Asif was a newbie, Mamta was welcoming and interacted with him a lot to put him at ease. But Asif Ali, who was unmarried then, mistook her comforting nature and thought that she loved him! And Asif also confessed his feelings for Mamta Mohandas! Also, his first romantic song sequence was with Mamta, and hence there is no wonder that the young actor fell for the beauty!
Meanwhile, Asif Ali is now married to Zama Mazreem, and the stunning couple are head over heels in love. The star couple is celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary today. The couple also has two kids - Adam and Haya.
On the work front, Asif Ali completed 10 years in cinema last year. The star who stepped into show business with ‘Ritu’ has only refined himself as an actor over the years. He has worked with popular filmmakers Sathyan Anthikkad, Sibi Malayil, Amal Neerad, Anwar Rasheed, and also starred alongside many superstars in the industry. Last year was a breakthrough in his career, as he got the opportunity to essay Govind in the Parvathy Thiruvothu-starrer 'Uyare'. Govind was the lover of Pallavi (Parvathy Thiruvothu) in the movie and his performance won the hearts of movie lovers. His recent release ‘Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha’, where he essayed Sleevachan also made headlines. The actor will be next seen in ‘Kunjeldho’ in which he will be essaying the role of a college student.
