‘Viduthalai Part 1’ Kerala box office collection: Vetrimaaran’s crime thriller performs above expectations

As Priyadarshan’s ‘Corona Papers’ is getting only average openings at the Kerala box office, it seems like the Tamil film ‘Viduthalai Part 1’ is the only saving grace at KBO this week as it has reportedly managed to rake in nearly Rs 1 crore in its opening week.

According to the Twitter forums that track the box office collection figures, Vetrimaaran’s Tamil crime thriller movie ‘Viduthalai Part 1’ has minted nearly Rs 1 crore, and even though the collections figures are not extraordinary, it seems that the film is performing above expectations.

‘Viduthalai Part 1’ hit the big screens on 31st March 2023 and the film received highly positive responses from audiences all over. Vetrimaaran successfully delivered top-notch content which was stacked with amazing performances from the leads Soori, and Vijay Sethupathi.

‘Viduthalai Part 1’ is touted to be a crime thriller and the script penned by Jayamohan and Vetrimaaran told the story of a police officer named Kumaresan who is recruited to capture the leader of a separatist group.

On the other hand, Priyadarshan’s most anticipated movie ‘Corona Papers’ is getting good responses from Kerala audiences and the film reportedly minted Rs 7.5 lakhs on its opening day.
