Mohanlal - Vysakh’s recently released thriller film ‘Monster’ has indeed failed to impress the majority of the audiences and for the same reason, the ripple effect can be witnessed in its box office collections also. The film hit the big screens on October 21st.
According to the Twitter forums that track box office collections, the Mohanlal starrer ‘Monster’ has only managed to mint Rs 4.8 crores on its fifth day at the Kerala box office.
As the Mohanlal starrer is getting mixed responses from audiences, it can be expected that the film won’t be doing any wonders at the box office in the coming days.
Mohanlal’s ‘Monster’ got several negative feedback from the audiences, especially for its outdated script penned down by the writer Uday Krishna. Even with magnificent performances from Mohanlal and
Honey Rose, the film failed to create any magic that the makers promised during the promotional interviews. Overall ’Monster’ is termed to be another average fare from the legendary actor Mohanlal after the underwhelming film ‘Aaraattu’ which was also scripted by Uday Krishna.
On the positive side, Mohanlal has announced his team-up with the renowned director
Lijo Jose Pellissery for an upcoming movie which is reportedly touted to be a period film based on myth.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal also has the ambitious project ‘Ram’ in the pipeline. The film is touted to be an action entertainer helmed by the ‘Drishyam’, and ‘12th Man’ director Jeethu Joseph. Actors Trisha and Indrajith Sukumaran will be also playing pivotal roles in the movie.
