‘Corona Papers’ box office collection: Priyadarshan’s thriller gets an average opening at KBO

Mollywood director Priyadarshan has made his comeback after the failure of ‘Kunjali Marakkar’ with the recently released thriller movie ‘Corona Papers’. The film hit the big screens on April 6 and according to the reports, ‘Corona Papers’ managed to mint Rs 7.5 lakhs at the Kerala box office on its opening day.

Although there needs to be an official confirmation about the same, according to the Twitter forums that track the box office collection figures, Shane Nigam’s investigative thriller is getting only average openings at the box office.

The initial reactions to ‘Corona Papers’ say that Priyadarshan has crafted a decent thriller that one can enjoy even if they have watched the original Tamil version ‘8 Thottakal’. Siddique’s performance in the movie is said to be the main highlight along with Priyadarshan’s good direction.

As ‘Corona Papers’ is getting good reports from the audience, it can be expected that the movie would rake in more numbers at the box office, and with the weekend coming, it can be also expected that the film would draw more family audiences.

‘Corona Papers’ is touted to be an investigative thriller and also features the actors Shine Tom Chacko, Siddique, and Hannah Reji Koshy in significant roles.
