Story: Suraj is a romantic, just like his father, Rajeevan. In their busy life, however, none of them have thought of the woman at home. Does she have a life or is she just a 'wife'?

Suraj, a graduate student is a good singer with quite a fan following. He is a romantic and likes to flirt. His father Rajeevan, a village officer, also has a romantic mood meeting his college love after 23 years. Suraj's mom Anu, as per her husband is a typical wife in whom he doesn't find anything special apart from being a 'wife'. Their perspective to life change in a jiffy when they started realising the importance of Anu, one day.

Writers Jyothish M and Sunu AV have crafted a beautiful tale that explores different perspectives on love, loss, nostalgia, departure and acceptance. Nikhil with a good technical team, including music composer, cinematographer, editor and colourist has given life to it perfectly. In contrast to contemporary movies that look at the lives of just the protagonist, the film looks deep into each character and makes everyone significant.

Actors in the film were all performers who have done justice to the characters they have enacted. Performances of Manoj KU, Arjun Ashokan, Sarath Sabha, Hakkim Sha, Mamitha Baiju and Anawara Rajan, need mention.

The most interesting element in the film is the subtle treatment of the thought on how someone would react when they get to know that their partner had an evergreen love that she or he holds close to their heart. Well, we have seen 'men versions' of it. Here we can see how men handle it when it happens with the woman in their life.

Pranaya Vilasam is a slice-of-life cinema with multiple layers that could be enjoyed by people of all ages. Love is in the air and you can feel it in the theatres!
