Anoop Menon to pen a love story based in Malaysia

though seems to have served fodder for a romantic tale, which he would be soon scripting.


“I had visited

George Town

in Malaysia recently and I am planning a movie based in the city,” he says. “It will be a love story and the whole idea dawned upon me during the journey through the Penang state.”

George Town, located in the Penang state of Malaysia, has a considerable Tamil population and is also home to the oldest Hindu Temple in the country.

The actor, who is currently busy with Deepu Karunakaran’s Karimkunnam Sixes, tells us that plans are in place to begin filming of the story by late 2016 or early 2017. “I pitched the idea to a producer in Malaysia. He was excited about it and actually the Malaysian tourism department is also involved in the project,” says Anoop.

The Trivandrum Lodge scribe also has a few more scripting ventures lined up this year including director V K Prakash’s next movie. On the acting front, Anoop will soon join the sets of Don Max’s film, tentatively titled 10 Kalpanakal. “It’s an exciting story about a crime drama that happens in Idukki. We hope to start filming by May,” he says.
