Korean trot music has lost one of its most cherished icons, as legendary singer Song Dae Kwan passed away on the morning of February 7, KST. The beloved vocalist, whose career spanned decades, succumbed to a heart attack shortly after being admitted to Seoul National University Hospital on February 6, KST.


At 78 years old, Song Dae Kwan’s passing marks the end of an era for the trot genre. Renowned for his powerful vocals and magnetic stage presence, he became a household name after debuting in 1967.
