When the stage mirrors our daily lives

Anekdota is a collection of short English plays, directed and performed by a group of passionate youngsters and children. It comprises seven short productions — each one essaying different emotions and expressions about the various issues around us. The stories are intense, funny and completely independent of each other. The plays reflect the events of our daily lives and have over 35 artists who aim to make audiences laugh and take home a message with them.
The short plays are directed by Ajai Ravi, Vinod Kumar, Chetan Agastya, Suhit Kumar, Thejash Siddarth, Prithvi Shiv and Adithya Nair, while the performers on stage include Sarbajeet Das, Sahana, Apoorva Vasisht, Mahesh Nair, Nazmi Hashim, Tushar Gandhi, Swaroop KS, Sayed Yunus, Ashwini Elumalai.
The Anekdota plays are Cleanliness, Intervention, Gender Bias, Superstition,
Mother Earth, Fear PattonandCorruption. They will be staged at the Rangasthala Auditorium tonight.
