Through the eyes of a son
Shraddha Mattu Stainless Steel Patregalu comprises two plays with a common theme, a child’s perception of their parents during their growing up years, narrated on the days of the respective parent’s death anniversary rituals.
Shraddha, based on a short story by Srinivasa Vaidya, explores the relationship between the son and his disciplinarian and autocratic father.

Stainless Steel Patregalu, based on Vasudhendra’s story with the same name, explores the mother’s obsession with stainless steel utensils, as seen through the eyes of her son.
The plays is directed by Kiran Vati, while the performers are Ganesh Shenoy, Pachi Ravichandra, Deepa Ravishankar, Keerthi Bhanu, Somayaji, Srinath, Sunil Kumar and Satish KS. They are scheduled for May 24 (3.30 and 7.30 pm) at Ranga Shankara, JP Nagar.
