From the time we have been relishing stories, the word Panchatantra has always been a part of our vocabulary and references. But over time, wisdom, philosophical and spiritual text find presence and usage only with the children’s world. But what has been lost over time is the wisdom it had for all age groups and talks about relationships and human needs in a five-frame format.
The workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to dig into an ocean of simple tales that has deep interpretation and wisdom – for artists, teachers, speakers, leaders, storytellers, writers, facilitators, counsellors and educators. The sessions will be divided in six parts, which will be carried out every alternate days for 1.5 hours.
Sitting behind temple elephants, nursing wounded puppies, working with various theatre groups, Vikram Sridhar today combines his various interests and work in theatre, conservation, and social work over 15 years in his storytelling journey. Through folktales and myths, he is trying to discover our rich heritage of oral literature and tradition, which is slowly being lost and just sitting in books. He believes in storytelling as a strong medium of conservation from nature to human relationships.
